Hypnotherapy

Many have heard of the wonderful results accomplished through hypnosis and fel that it could also be helpful to them. Some people are afraid of hypnosis because of the misinformation acquired over the years from horror movies, novels or television. An inexperienced person who has never had hypnosis may have misconceptions about what hypnosis and what can be accomplished through hypnotherapy.

Before I put anyone into the trance state, I already have their wishes and instructions in the intake form. I have no reason to “wing it” or make anything up.

Some clients experience success with just one session, though I always recommend a follow-up session. Inevitably, the client wants to make an adjustment or two, which is fine, as multiple issues have already been addressed in the first session. It is a fine tuning. For clients looking for significant weight loss, I recommend six sessions that take place sometimes months apart. Everyone is different and has their own individual requirement.

I recommend that my clients see me at least once a year. Each year brings new experiences and desire for growth or change. Just like a vehicle, we too require maintenance.

You deserve to feel heard and understood in a safe space without judgment.

You may not have people in your life who listen when you share how you’re feeling. You may not have the skills to cope with the challenges you’re facing in your day to day life.

Counseling can provide you with a safe space where you can share without judgment, where you can learn new skills to manage these challenges, and where you can explore who you are in this moment and who you want to be. You’ll learn to be kind to yourself, how to sit with feelings that are uncomfortable so that you can grow and evolve.

 How Life Coaching Works

The first step is to schedule a free consultation where we can determine if we’re a good fit. We’ll talk about what prompted you to seek therapy and about what you hope to achieve in therapy.

During our first session, we’ll explore in more detail your journey to therapy. I will do a lot of listening to give you space to share your story.

In our second session, together we’ll create a plan of what you want to achieve during our time together. We’ll discuss some of the roadblocks you may face and strategies to overcome them.

In our subsequent sessions, we will continue to work on the goals you created at the beginning of therapy. If new problems arise, we will hold space for those problems, too. We will check in on your goals and make adjustments as necessary.
