You’re In the Right Place

If you are ready to jump in with both feet, I am here to jump with you! Over the past twenty-five years I’ve witnessed thousands of remarkable changes taken place. Some were enormous life changing events and some were smaller in size, but still meant the world for the person that desired it. The beautiful thing about hypnotherapy is that change isn’t uncomfortable. Through hypnosis it is thrilling and exciting! You are able to see results so very quickly.

Frequently Asked Questions About Hypnosis

Hypnosis can be effectively used as a complementary treatment to traditional medicine and therapies. If you suffer from a medical condition, please consult your doctor before making an appointment as Hypnosis is not a replacement for medical treatment.

If a suggestion that is not appealing is given to a person while in the hypnotic state, one of two things would happen:  the person in the hypnotic state would either ignore the suggestion or would bring himself out of the hypnotic state.

The hypnotherapist does not possess any type of power or gift, but, has learned how to give suggestions that the subconscious mind will accept, and then act on those suggestions in a positive, helpful way.

Q. What Is Hypnosis?

Rather than explain what hypnosis is, it might be better to state what hypnosis is not.

When a person is hypnotized, they are not asleep or in some eerie trance state. The hypnotized individual is aware of everything that is taking place. Even after being brought out of hypnosis, a person will be able to recall anything that took place during the session.

Hypnosis is a very normal, natural state that most of us experience every day. An example of daily hypnosis would be driving a car and realizing that you can’t remember the last three or four streets you just passed. Perhaps you drove right by your exit! Another example would be a person watching television. When another member of the family enters and announces that dinner is ready, the person watching the television does not even blink an eye!

What can Hypnosis help with?

Hypnosis can not only help you change unwanted patterns and habits, for example; smoking, emotional eating, nail biting…It can also help you develop new positive patterns or habits such as improving your public speaking techniques, creating better eating patterns, promoting relaxation techniques, even improving your golf game. It can also reprogram the way you think or react to situations and circumstances.

Please check our “SERVICES” tab to see what else Hypnosis can help with.

How long is each session?

The first session is 90 minutes; following sessions are 1 hour.

What happens during a session?
Your initial session consists of you completing an intake form which will include asking you about your medical history.  We will discuss what you would like to work on, what your goals are and answer any questions or concerns that you might have. I will then gently guide you through relaxation techniques by using positive suggestions and imagery to begin the process. Self-Hypnosis is also taught in each session. You will be able to use this powerful tool whenever you want to for the rest of your life.

After each session you will feel refreshed, relaxed, and energized.

How often are the sessions?

We will be able to figure out what is best for you after your first session.
It is important to keep in touch with me.

How many sessions are required?
The number of sessions required depends on the problem or issue for which the client is seeking help for. Never more than six sessions, but often only two or three.

What is my first step?

To contact me.

What happens if I have to miss a session, what if I am late?

A 24 hour notice is required in order to cancel, otherwise the session is charged at the full session rate.  I’m not unreasonable, and know that things happen. Please be courteous and communicate with me as soon as possible.

No. You are just extremely relaxed; you are at a heightened state of awareness.

Can anyone be hypnotized?

Yes, as long as they want  to be hypnotized.  No one can be hypnotized against their will.

Will I lose control?

Will I remember what went on?

Most people remember all or some of their sessions. You will have a reinforcement MP3 to listen to after your session for home use.

Are online sessions as effective as in office sessions?

How successful is hypnosis for weight control and diet modification?

Very. I’m thrilled with my success rate.

With hypnosis will I still crave a cigarette?

No, you will not. If for some reason you feel a slight hankering, it will very quickly subside. You will have a reinforcement recording to listen to for twenty-one days after your session.
